A sub-region within the Scottish Highlands, Speyside deserves its own listing as a region due to the sheer number of distilleries who have their home along and around the banks of the River Spey. Speyside’s whiskies are typically unpeated, subtle, light and sweet, although with so many distilleries in the area there is great variety, and something for everyone.
