Tasting Notes
The distinctive aromas of a dunnage warehouse brought the earthy fragrance of rain drops on dry soil, while the scent of heavy oak danced with sweet, toasted toffee and spicy camphor and aniseed. With time the fragrance morphed into chamomile and elderflowers, alongside orange blossom honey infused with fennel seeds. A drop of water signalled the time for tea as the coopers laid down their tools in favour of apricot pastries, pineapple tarts and delicious brioche. The smell of cakes and cookies filled the oaky air, mixing orange and lime zest with spicy cinnamon, mace and nutmeg.
