Clear and vivid initial aromas included lemon curd, lanolin, tea tree oil, bergamot, orange tea, cocktail bitters, star fruit, lime zest and marzipan. Big, easy and generously fruity as weve come to expect from this cult distillery. Reduction brought out custard creams, vanilla soda, lemon barley water and earthier notes of potting shed, clay and then some citronella wax. The palate opened with herbal medicines, fresh parsley, watercress, lemon cough drops, heather honey and fizzy jelly sweets. Reduction brought more of these light waxy qualities again, along with fennel, hoppy new world pale ale, under ripe green fruits and limoncello and tonic water.
