Tasting Notes
Imagine being down a coal mine with an old-fashioned Davy lamp and in your snap tin for tea you had apple crumble and cream custard pie. On the palate a spicy, gingery heat at first followed by the strong sweetness of honey on crumpets and crème caramel almost like the powerful South American sun blinding us after stepping back into daylight. When we added water earthy herbal notes were added like a Scotch broth or tomato soup with a good dash of rum, while on the taste sublimely smooth with hints of toffee popcorn and a subtle smoky note.
