Tasting Notes
With a resounding crack, the polished leather of the cricket ball ricocheted from the freshly oiled willow bat. The liquorice stick stumps remained standing at the end of the over, as the teams had a break with root beer and cinnamon cola. With a drop of water and feeling refreshed, eucalyptus muscle rub joined dry dust as the players returned to finish the test. Following a fast-bowling onslaught of cinnamon swirls, apple twirls and salted caramel, it fell to a spin-bowled dried apricot to take the final wicket and close out the match.
