Tasting Notes
Our noses were greeted by crispy bacon on seeded bread, lubricated with tomato ketchup, soft brown sugar and...vanilla custard. The palate was an ode to vegetable stock and grilled gammon. A savoury dram. The introduction of water opened the oven door to a fresh loaf of bread, dusted with lemon sherbet and chicken gravy granules. The palate was now much like the nose, joined by a pinch of soot from granny's coal fireplace and a wet pine branch.
