Tasting Notes
As we toasted marshmallows on cinnamon sticks, hot chocolate raindrops began to fall from the sky and splitter-splatter on juicy red berries and luscious cherries around us. The fluffy cumulus turned to heavy cumulonimbus, before a downpour of dark chocolate separated cherries and bananas from their branches and caused them to cascade on to mint leaves and cinder toffee on the ground. All this rain diluted the dram, releasing a gush of fresh oak, toasted coconut and rum-flavoured cream cakes. The sun re-emerged as the rain eased to white chocolate-coated raisins. Puddles of praline had formed and the cherries had been reduced to a sweet red juice that flowed into the gaps between slabs of caramel shortbread.
