Cask selection is fundamental, and we are fortunate to have access to whisky from exceptional distilleries from the Highlands to the Lowlands and everywhere in between. Our focus is on adventurous blending to create tantalising new tastes, delivering exceptional and unexpected blends. Our blending team is collectively responsible for the selection of each whisky and development of each individual batch of releases.
Each of the blends have been created to offer full bodied, characterful whiskies. Blending gives the team scope to expertly deliver something utterly unique. JG Thomson delivers bold flavours to the range of Blended Malts by combining carefully selected single malt spirits with high-quality casks. Our blended malt whisky exclusively comprises single malt whiskies, with no grain whisky. The Smoky Malt is blended from 100% Islay malts; the special edition 23 Year Old is made using 100% Speyside malts, celebrating two magnificent whisky producing regions. Our focus is on adventurous blending to create tantalising new tastes, delivering exceptional and unexpected blends. Our blending team is collectively responsible for the selection of each whisky and development of each individual batch of releases. As we release more batches, the flavours will evolve over time.
Our blending team are collectively responsible for the selection of malts for our whiskies, and the development of each batch of releases. We draw our blended malt components from our richly-stocked warehouse of maturing casks, giving us access to an incredible range of tastes. Our batches are founded on bold flavours achieved by combining characterful spirit with high quality, active wood. We work closely with cooperages around the world to secure these casks, from sherry & port to custom casks, toasted & charred to our exacting standards to hit the flavour peaks we are looking for. Here we see a real opportunity to enhance the maturation process and the complexity of our spirits.Our focus is on adventurous blending to create tantalising new tastes, delivering exceptional and unexpected blends.
