Tasting Notes
Did someone soak raisins in muscle rub and who left the homemade black cherry jam with plenty of kirsch added in the first aid box? Just two of the many questions we had. Surprisingly smoky with equally surprising, yet pleasing, medicinal nuances on the palate neat. Water added aromas of smoky pineapple juice next to kiwis on a bonfire, while to taste charred herbal sausages and lemon thyme as we finished with a Victoria sponge cake having used that black cherry jam with that liberal dash of kirsch. At nine years of age, we combined selected hogsheads from the same distillery into a variety of different casks to develop further. This is one of those casks.
