Tasting Notes
We stepped into a gallery as the first visitors of the morning and as we walked on freshly polished floorboards we stopped at a fruit bowl still life oil painting and we could ‘smell’ the apples, pears and grapes - almost tempting us to eat one. No surprise then that on the palate we had a sweet and sour grape smoothie and spiced orange marzipan. After the addition of water, we left the gallery and walked through a bazaar selling mainly oriental spices and Persian carpets. In the centre of the market, there was a coffee shop and where we enjoyed a Masala chai and a slice of baklava.
