Desert oasis dram

There was a desert-like dryness in the air, but we could also spot an oasis, and this was no fata morgana. The aroma reminded us of sawdust, dried camomile, malted milk biscuits and charred lemons but also lemongrass, lime soda and icing sugar. On the palate, we found a sweet, fruit-flavoured bonbon with a sour chilli centre. With a few drops of water we reached the oasis and the minty, refreshing scent of elderflower and peach-flavoured fizzy water took centre stage. The taste still had that dryness of herbal cough medicine with a slightly bitter, clove-mace finish.
