Tasting Notes

Sniffing this, every Panellist imagined flowers – yellow roses, chamomile, elderflower and flower meadows in Haute-Savoie. We also got lemon puffs, strawberry, banana, peach and rainbow drops – a comforting shaft of sunlight. The palate’s main engine was driven by zingy citrus notes (lemon meringue pie, orange and lemon barley sugars, sauvignon blanc, pineapple) – with a sidecar of slightly earthier flavours, such as crystallised ginger, chilli, leather and oak. In reduction the nose discovered lemon drops in a leather tobacco pouch and banoffee pie; the palate found a sweet and tart combo (finger limes, and pineapple, pear and strawberry ice lollies), with a tingling spice finish.
