Our initial impressions included aromas of pear cordial, tangerine, stone fruits and lychee syrup. Luscious, sweet and with some firmer notes of fir wood, myrtle and heather honey underneath. Water revealed hessian, wintergreen, orange cocktail bitters and a light note of demerara rum. The neat palate showed an initial burst of sweetness in the form of lemon curd, grapefruit and flower blossoms heavy with pollen. Barley water, lime cordial and mint julep cocktails. Reduction brought a sharp zing of green apple, key lime pie, fruit pastilles and lemon sherbet. Bright, sweet, fizzy and extremely enjoyable.
