Tasting Notes
A sweet, fresh and fruity aroma greeted the Panel. “A glass full of summer vibes” was one comment, with apple-flavoured boiled sweets, key lime pie and peach melba. On the palate we found lemon meringue pie, vanilla buttercream and a kiwi and coconut parfait, with plum clafoutis in the finish. Following the addition of water a plum fool emerged, a dessert of lightly cooked sweetened plums and freshly whipped cream served with a crunchy gingersnap on top. The taste was now of vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce in a waffle cone, Thai iced tea with star anise and, in the finish, the refreshing sharpness of lemon tonic water.
