Tasting Notes
On the neat nose, a heady combination of delicate almond blossom, shea butter, honey and coconut oil aromas next to balsa and sandalwood, plus fresh tea leaves. On the palate, brown butter peach cupcakes, strawberries with cream and chocolate-coated raisins. Following reduction, we imagined baking matcha doughnuts with a cream and custard filling alongside cherry puff pastry pies before we made buttery, cinema-style, seductive-smelling popcorn. To taste, a hard candy shell and a soft jelly centre – the classic jellybean but with some extravagant flavours such as peach bellini, lemon meringue pie and, in the finish, cherry passion fruit smoothie.
