Tasting Notes
Candyfloss, mineral oil, sandalwood and lime wedges were all noted at first nosing. The Panellists then found a second scent wave carrying impressions of hay, acacia honey, herbal ointments and old-school shilling ales. Neat, the palate was initially very creamy in texture, but also slightly drying, giving us hessian cloth, clay and beeswax. Following the addition of water, the nose displayed apricot, melon, soft waxy notes and mango jelly. The taste was now very nicely rounded, delivering cardamom custard, lemon marmalade, herbal cocktail bitters, orange cordial and a peach danish.
