A robust and powerful nose introduced juniper, linseed oil and angelica root before orange and pink grapefruit made way for coriander, fennel and black pepper. The palate was fragrant with an abundance of rose petals and Parma Violet sweets merging with lemon sherbet, fresh orange juice and vanilla ice cream. Diluted with tonic we found honey, jasmine tea and spicy carnation flowers along with earthy aromas of flowerbeds and rhubarb. The palate was now sweeter with creamy textures. Liquorice, caraway seeds and burnt wood suggested a medicinal influence before sweet vermouth and bitter orange lasted well onto the long finish.
