Tasting Notes
The fresh scents of pine needles combined with dry straw as we tucked into our picnic of marmalade sandwiches, wild strawberries and creamy crème brulee. The tingly spice of wasabi and ginger introduced an aromatic element while the tart citrus of lemon skin and pink grapefruit arrived with a few flakes of sea salt. A dash of water released waves of brambles and cream with the funky notes of scrumpy cider and a few petals of orange blossom falling onto the pine forest floor. Flavours now tiptoed through honey, ginger and grains of barley with a squeeze of lemon, orange and grape juice on the clean finish.
