Tasting Notes
On the nose we were greeted by vanilla slices, raspberry yoghurt, peach melba, orange cream soda and demerara sugar, all with a hint of cherry blossom in the background. On the palate neat we bit into a crispy green apple, slightly sour and bitter like a dry white wine, before we had digestive biscuits and a slice of a malted bloomer. Following reduction, we prepared a ginger peanut dressing for an Asian slaw. To taste there was a choice of two chocolate bars, one a crunchy almond caramel in milk chocolate, the other dark chocolate with roasted peanuts, ginger and salted caramel.
