Tasting Notes

The nose gave us a kind of mellow yellow vibe – apple pie and crème pâtissière, lemon curd, pineapple and banana, yellow fruit pastilles and poached pears. The palate had a lovely juicy zing – mango, green apple, stone fruits and lemon juice; almonds, hazelnuts and oats to finish. The reduced nose was a waft of summer sensuality – warm sand, sun tan lotion, rose petals, vanilla, shaved coconut, drying hay and sun-ripened oranges and plums. On the palate – a refreshing lift of lime sorbet and melon balanced the comforting sweetness of marshmallows, shortbread and vanilla – a faint echo of ginger warmth trailing behind.

Dram-Cierge Valentine’s Day Favourites:

Helen loved: This is an uplifting dram to savour in the dreich months of the beginning of the year. The nose is reminiscent of sitting in a park on a hot summer’s day with notes of coconut in the air from suncream and fragrant freshly cut grass. The taste unpacks a summer picnic of oaty, nutty flapjacks followed by fruit pastilles ice lollies, both enjoyed while sipping on a refreshing rock shandy.

This light and frisky malt is the perfect antidote to winter! It will help shake off the cobwebs and revitalise your heart and soul for the coming spring.
