Tasting Notes

One panel member noted an immediate impression of brand new leather gardening gloves fresh from the pack. Also noted was carbon paper, moss, heather ales, shortbread, wet ferns and chamois leather. With water we found fresh cereals, dry grass, baled hay and meadow flowers along with some Bakewell tarts and runny honey. The palate initially displayed a Barbour jacket-style waxiness, along with fresh linens, shilling beer, green tea, grassy olive oil and rosewater. Reduction brought a zip of tart cooking apple acidity, some orange peel, lime sherbet and sun cream.
