Tasting Notes
A steady cavalcade of aromas gently introduced salty sea air and rock pools with distant wood smoke that brought with it kedgeree, coal dust and lavender. On the palette charred cereal flavours merged with ash and soot while a wave of fruit chutney became more herbal and medicinal with time. Adding water unearthed charred lemons on a beach bonfire with salted liquorice and banana skins dusted with chimney soot. The mouth-coating textures of linseed oil merged with vanilla and wood char on the tongue before smoked nuts and menthol lasted long onto the finish.
