Tasting Notes
We imagined walking through steep vineyards just before harvest and being taken by surprise when the heavens opened, before finding shelter in a wooden shack. While we waited, we unpacked an apple pie with raisins and walnuts as we opened a hip flask filled with apple schnapps. Diluted the rain stopped and the sun came out so we sat outside enjoying Victoria sponge cake, a cinnamon sweet apple turnover and pastries with a vanilla and fruit filling. Some then finished with an espresso coffee, others with lavender tea and we were all crunching away on almond biscotti biscuits – what a beautiful bizarre story!
