Salted caramel, butterscotch, banoffee pie and hessian canvass noted the panel initially. A lovely juicy sweetness with clean wood spices and afterwards some greener notes of crushed flower stems, vase water and herbal bouquets. Water revealed custard cream biscuits, sandalwood, pollens and hoppy new world IPA. The palate when neat opened with golden syrup, dark n stormy ginger beer cocktails, stem ginger in syrup - rather gingery we thought - and softer notes of hibiscus flower and lime cordial. Reduction made the texture nice and syrupy with runny honey, olive oil sponge cake, fruit teas and lemon cordial. A flush of vanilla cream soda in the aftertaste.
