Tasting Notes
The neat nose intrigued with ever-changing aromas - from dark cherries, PVA glue, baked apples and cinnamon, to melted crayons, dates, foamy bananas and leather armchairs, but no kitchen sink! Sweet, bitter, oily and waxy notes all graced the palate, bringing taste sensations of Grand Marnier liqueur and hazelnut wine followed by a parsley stalk aftertaste. The reduced nose welcomed us with dark chocolate (most notably Terry's Chocolate Orange) then offered an array of Indian flavours - chai tea at first then cumin and spicy scented wood. Samosas and curry powder adorned the palate with hints of lavender and an effervescent fizz, all culminating in a sweet, satisfying finish.
