Tasting Notes
Opening this brought beneficent rays of sunlight into the room – rose gardens, parma violets, strawberry, peach, cherry and quince, sun on Maroc oranges and even a hint of seaside holidays. The palate offered the easy-going sweetness of marshmallows, vanilla ice cream, chocolate and nougat, along with juicy, mouth-watering effects such as sherbet lemons, peach ice tea and fresh blackberries. The reduced nose suggested brown sugar sprinkled on creamy porridge, danish pastries and lemon meringue pie. The palate now – crème brûlée, honey, condensed milk and blueberries – was supremely approachable, sweet, honeyed, juicy, fruity and fragrant. A big thumbs-up all round.
