Tasting Notes
The opening scene was a dusty Mediterranean coastline, with a drifting scent of peanut shells, panna cotta and the morning's newspaper caught in a rain shower. A subtle smoke on the palate was joined by Chinese five spice, peppercorn sauce and a twist of lime. Water opened up the dram, offering a bouquet of carnations and lilies on the nose, garnished with vanilla pods and a fresh ream of white printer paper served on a silver platter. A coastal salinity remained, joined by cinder toffee, ground ginger and cashews. That hint of peat left us thinking ...
