Fresh cereals, barley water and laundered fabrics at first noted the panel. A delightfully crisp and natural style malt. Some light notes of hessian, lemon peel and chalk were also noted. With water we found earthy notes of turmeric, pithy citrus peels, crushed biscuits and oatmeal. The neat palate was initially full of fatty mineral oils, ointments, herbal infusions and hints of farmy cider apple. Water brought the crisp acidity of ripe gooseberry, white pepper, marjoram, coriander seed and the warmth of star anise.
