Dominant aromas embraced vanilla ice cream and coconut before milk chocolate biscuits appeared alongside chai tea and a large slice of spicy fruit cake topped with Seville orange marmalade. The palate was a largely juicy affair that displayed the perfect balance between fruit and wood. Apple pie merged into banoffee pie as pecans arrived with a dusting of cinnamon and nutmeg. Elements of rye whiskey then brought caramel wafers and sweet popcorn with a drying touch of menthol. Water emphasised buttery textures that ventured towards blueberry muffins and custard on apple crumble. Finally ,we found chocolate cookie dough with Brazil nuts, praline and a ginger warmth that melted into freshly sawn timber.
