Tasting Notes
A very clean and fresh nose greeted the Panel: crisp white shirts fresh out of the press, window cleaner, linseed oil, cleaned paintbrushes and a wooden easel. This was sweet and tasty on the palate, with plenty of zing – including popping candy, rock candy and lemon drops. In the dry finish we found a bitter lemon soda with lemon juice and zest, sugar, sprigs of lavender and tonic water. Be careful when adding water – but we were rewarded with buttered toast, vanilla ice cream and a Tyrolean pear schnapps. To taste, we tucked into mango con chile y limon, a Mexican dish of fresh mango, chilli, lime juice and a touch of salt.
