The nose neat had a lovely ‘satin’ feel like pineapple syrup, melted butter, honey, red velvet cake as well as fresh peaches with Grand Marnier and crème fraiche. A surprising puckery taste of spicy and salty chilli sauce at first followed by sweet and sour apples and finishing in a mint tea with lemon and jasmine. With the addition of water an aroma of ‘comfort and contentment’ developed, apple pie, apricot frangipane tart and semolina pudding with nuts, raisins and plenty of honey. On the palate an opulent delight with plenty of vanilla, pineapple and papaya while in the finish Angel Delight butterscotch flavoured dessert and Chantilly cream.
