Tasting Notes
We imagined putting together a flower arrangement, a classical bouquet – white avalanche roses complimented by seasonal green foliage to be delivered with a box of rum and raisin fudge. A sweet start on the palate with Turkish delight, baklava and lychee Phirni, but almost out of nowhere, a spiciness came to the fore, building up and up like in an Indian fruit chaat. Water added popping candy, lemon sherbet and plenty of pear drops alongside a variety of cocktail concoctions. On the nose a caipirinha, while we sipped a ‘rum sunset’ using orange juice, Jamaican spiced rum, lime and grenadine.
