Tasting Notes

What an aroma on the neat nose: floral, tropical and exotic! Orchard fruits, apricots in syrup, crème caramel, cassia bark, honeycomb and vanilla slices – all those delicate scents were perfectly interwoven. “Still some life in the old boy” or, as another Panellist described it, “plenty of oomph”! Salted caramel, lightly burnt custard and butterscotch next to Seville oranges and pineapple slices were all in perfect harmony. Careful when adding water, as some of us preferred it neat. Images arose of a wooden bowl full of fresh fruit in an antique, sunlit library while another surfed in the Caribbean. On the palate it was soft, creamy and velvety – just keep on dreaming.
