Tasting Notes
A warm and friendly aroma reminded us of vanilla fudge, plus a strawberry tall cake where the layers are made with a chiffon cake recipe and a dash of bitter orange-flavoured cognac liqueur, simply delicious. There was plenty of spice on the palate neat, with jalapenos and cinnamon-spiced cranberry jelly shots. In the medium-length finish a touch of tannic dryness accompanied the sweetness and spice very well. Following reduction, we found ourselves in an antique library where we lit a vanilla cupcake-scented candle. To taste, we discovered a juicy, fruity spiciness evoking caraway and aniseed next to a pleasant dark bitter chocolate note.
