Tasting Notes
Skipping through meadows after rain, we found yellow plums in baskets, waxed lemons, citrus sweets in paper bags and danish pastries with apricot, custard and icing. The palate danced to a beat of fruity and sweet – rhubarb rock, bramble cheesecake, cherry lozenges, lemon angel delight and stroopwafels; the warm finish had cinnamon swirls, aniseed and chilli. Water turned the nose to candied lemon, coconut cream, apple charlotte and banana split, plus hints of polished wood, unlit cigars and spearmint chews. The palate now delivered tropical fruits and fragrant wood, honeydew melon and maple syrup; finishing with liquorice, blackcurrant, nutmeg and chewed pencils.
