At first, we noticed the lovely bright golden amber colour which was followed by an aroma bursting with character. The evocative scent of vanilla fudge, exotic scented wood, candy canes, Bakewell tarts and rose Turkish delight made us eager to have a try. It was just like granny’s famous Griessbrei (German semolina pudding) served with sugar, cinnamon, minced crystallised ginger and a splash of cream – so dreamy! With a drop of water, we grew up and enjoyed a Pina Colada with choc chip cookies next to a rosebush in full bloom, while on the palate we woke up to a berry banana breakfast smoothie.
