A fascinating variety of aromas neat greeted the panel; ginger and walnut carrot cake, nougat, key lime pie, raspberry millefeuilles, but then also sweet vine ripened tomatoes and picking blueberries fresh from the bush. On the palate we found melted vanilla ice cream, sweet hazelnut toffee wafer, custard creams all washed down with a passion fruit Bellini cocktail, Champagne, fresh passion fruit juice and orange liqueur. After reduction we made a strawberry watermelon smoothie as well as apricot jam filled mini doughnuts before indulging in orange cardamom madeleines, light and cakey, divine when dipped into tea, just like Marcel Proust described in his novel ‘Search of Lost Times.’
