Essence of elegance

Served from a polished antique mahogany tray, we were regaled by the scents of peach panettone parfait with mascarpone cream next to a glass of delicately honey-sweetened elderflower cordial. On the palate, the initial effervescence of sparkling wine turned into a silky chocolate mousse topped with fresh strawberries and cinnamon vanilla bean whipped cream – delicious! Reluctantly we all added a drop of water and the aroma of a tropical fruit salad evolved along with sweet spices such as nutmeg, cardamom and cloves. To taste we now found baked apples with cinnamon, kiwi crumble, shredded coconut and sliced almonds, plus a crème de menthe pie in the finish.
