Tasting Notes
A humongous beast of a dram on the nose detected immediate smoke; a chocolate factory on fire, smoky bacon crisps and maple syrup on burnt pancakes. The palate had caramelised sugar, over-toasted marshmallows and honey on burnt croissants; liquorice, salted walnuts and throat lozenges to finish. The reduced nose had a fascinating farmyard funk (wooden hay barns, welly boots and tractor oil), plus golden syrup flapjacks and a toffee retrieved from an ashtray. The palate was more approachable, but still big and tasty yeast extract on sugar buns, corn snacks, peat smoke, chocolate swiss rolls and orangeade drunk from a rubber cup.
