The start wholeheartedly embraced fragrant perfume and apple blossom before sweet cereals, toasted oak and pencil shavings paved the way for ripe banana, peaches and butter icing. Sweetness was abundant from the first sip with dessert apples, mango, melon and pineapple mixing with caramel popcorn, fudge and tingly wood spices. Adding water enhanced the cereal aromas alongside the tart citrus character of orange skin, kumquat and lemon sherbet. Vanilla mixed with oak sawdust and coconut ice cream with hints of milk chocolate and icing sugar. The palate still tingled with sweet peppers, cloves and cinnamon that joined firm oak to support a core of mandarins, apricots and green herbs.
