Product Description
Bottled at a slightly reduced strength of 48% abv, this strength has been selected by our whisky team as being the optimal abv for this particular cask. The result is a full-flavoured Society single malt that offers an alternative way to explore our range.
Tasting Notes
The Panel were in instant agreement on the nose, discovering fizzy lemons, lemon puffs and champagne bubbles, plus rainbow drops, freshly cut grass and a twist of mint. On the palate, the unreduced taste offered peach schnapps, fizzy lemonade, shortbread and strawberry jam before a sharp, familiar burst of citrus juice and pepper spice joined in. The addition of water carried the Panellists outdoors to aromas of dewy grass, springtime shoots, laurel leaves and tulip bulbs, intertwined with sanded wood, soft leather, calvados and thyme. The flavours then returned to fruity indulgence – marmalade, mango chutney, and peaches and cream – accompanied by an effervescent zing and a gentle pink peppercorn warmth that lingered into a satisfying conclusion.
