Our introduction was adorned with honeysuckle, pot pourri and apple blossom, the sweet fragrance from which blended with toffee apples, green herbs and lemon sponge cake topped with milk chocolate. A big burst of chilli on the palate softened to juicy lemons, limes and grapefruit before almonds and banana paved the way for ginger biscuits and rhubarb submerged in custard. Water benefitted greatly by promoting a softer delivery as waxy and oily citrus notes formed into orange bitters, lemon skin and danish pastries. Floral notes remained of lavender and violets while on the palate came peaches, prunes and wood spices that formed into drying tannins on the finish.
