Tasting Notes
The first impression was of sweetness with marshmallow spread, breakfast cereals dusted with icing sugar, buttermilk, lemon air freshener, Victoria sponge cake, milk bottle sweets and baby rusks. With reduction, the nose revealed fabrics, canvas, fennel seed, fizzy sweets, pink nougat, raspberry sauce and floral vapour rubs. In the mouth when neat it was full of mandarin jelly, banana split, waxed sweetie papers, black tea, herbal travel sweets, gin and tonic sorbet and toasted juniper. Water took the heat away and brought out a vibrant bubblegum fruitiness. Lots of foam shrimps, strawberry laces, flying saucer casings, pink wafer biscuits and things like aniseed and lanolin.
