Tasting Notes
We imagined having a glass of a crisp white wine following a short, sharp spring shower in a daffodil field. To eat, we enjoyed bacon-wrapped asparagus and Mediterranean grilled stuffed peppers followed by kiwi, banana and lime fruit salad, as well as gooseberry fool. After reduction the aroma was that of a melon medley with slices of cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon, cotton candy grapes and green apple crisps. On the palate we had a cup of barley grass juice or a masala chai with dried ginger and mace. The finish served up banana and raspberry ripple ice cream. Following 13 years in an ex-bourbon barrel, we transferred this whisky into a first fill PX ex-bodega barrique.
