The nose made it immediately apparent this was a slight deviation from this distillerys usual profile. This was firmer and richer than we were used to. Lots of canvas, touches of soot, embrocation, vapour rubs, waxed parchment and mineral oils with lemon bubble gum. Reduction brought breakfast cereals dusted with icing sugar, tiramisu, greengages, dried flowers and orange biscotti. The palate was initially very juicy and fruity, fruit salad juices, limoncello, lanolin and pineapple jelly. With reduction we noted shoe polish, dried oregano, old paper, white chocolate, ointments, pizza dough and an umami touch of parmesan cheese in the background.
