Tasting Notes
The neat nose confirmed to us that this distillery often produces a deceptively weighty distillate. We got big aromas of wet plaster, chalk duster, starched linens, lemon verbena, stone fruits and tonic water. Some water brought out lychee cordial, lemon meringue and rich barley sugars. Also creamed coconut and eucalyptus oil. The neat palate showed a nicely thick texture with milky ice cream, honey oat bars and big, warming notes of chilli powder, cinnamon and fresh oak shavings. Reduction brought sharp green apple, pear cider, orange peel, marzipan and caramelised oatmeal.
