Tasting Notes
We imagined sitting on Bondi beach, hanging loose, watching the surfers as the sun dipped into the Pacific Ocean while eating carrot cake topped with passion fruit flavoured cream cheese. The palate was oily and mouth-coating with the lingering, delicate spice one can expect from a bourbon with a high rye content. Following the addition of water, delicate spices like nutmeg, aniseed and ginger fused with the sweetness of rich vanilla pods, sweet banana chips and honey roasted nuts. Darkness crept in and we lit a small fire on the beach with the flames dancing, flickering and crackling as we enjoyed an Old Fashioned cocktail.
