Tasting Notes
The nose suggested lemon meringue pie, apple orchards and strawberry chews in the pocket of a waxed jacket worn by someone cutting a privet hedge. The palate started chalky and ended up with a fizzy tingle – juicy melon, margarita cocktail and a tin of effervescent soft drink crystals, with spiced chai latte and pickled ginger warmth; quite fun and celebratory. The reduced nose had jelly babies, apple strudel with cinnamon, honeyed lip balm and sugar over fresh strawberries. The viscous palate now delivered mouth-tingling flavours of banoffee pie, lime fruit pastilles, bubble gum, sugar-coated fennel seeds and coffee beans in a hessian sack.
