A wonderfully complex nose displaying playful oak (lying in a hayloft with sunbeams lasering through the rafters), Charentais and papaya, Turkish Delight, nut and honey Baklava, sweet tobacco and Camp coffee with chicory – pure joy! The palate finds cinnamon, pipe tobacco, sherbet lemons, raspberry pop-tarts, apricot Danish and cherry frangipane tart. The reduced nose gets speculoos biscuits and cinnamon buns straight from the oven, orange and lemon zest, crème anglais, chocolate chip muffins and hints of leather. The reduced palate has juicy fruits, berry tarts, vanilla custard and summer creams; then crystallised ginger, hot cross buns and oak to finish.
