A 15-year-old Deep, Rich & Dried Fruits offering from Cask No. 24.177: Fig Noir is paired with a 17-year-old Spicy & Sweet Speyside whisky, Cask No. 36.217: Heaven and Earth.
Cask No. 24.177: Fig Noir
Like moonlight on strawberries and elderflowers, a sweet fragrance danced in darkness alongside raisins, figs and red shoelace sweets. A burst of ginger in the twilight washed over muscovado sugar and dark chocolate, dipping into stewed rhubarb and treacle.
Cask No. 36.217: Heaven and Earth
The aroma sent us into orbit with green asteroid belts (fizzy apple laces), strawberry stars and heavenly chantilly cream. The taste then brought us back to earth with classic chelsea buns, cinnamon candied almonds and hot spiced mulled cider.
